Luc Ducharme opens a firewood, coal and ice distribution business. His sons join him shortly after.

L. Ducharme & Fils Reg'd begins distributing heating oil in the Montréal region.

The company is incorporated under the name L. Ducharme & Fils Ltd.; Luc's son Frédéric Ducharme becomes its president.

Frédéric's son Michel Ducharme joins the company and modernizes its delivery and administrative systems.

Michel buys the company and thinks about expanding.

L. Ducharme & Fils Ltd. merges with another family business, Carbone & Fils Ltd., forming Ducharme & Carbone Inc.

The company partners with Petro-Canada and continues growing through acquisitions. With more than 10,000 customers in the Montréal area, annual heating oil, diesel and gasoline volumes reach 50,000,000 litres.

The company creates a lubricant division to serve its industrial clientele.

Michel's son François Ducharme comes on board, the fourth generation of the Ducharme family to join the business. The company begins producing its own lubricants.

Lubricant and heating oil operations are separated. On November 1, 1987, the lubricant side of the business is incorporated under Produits Lubri-Delta Inc. while the heating oil division is sold to Petro-Canada.

To maximize operations, the company moves to 2215 Industriel in Laval, a facility comprising a 26,000 sq. ft. building and storage capacity of over 600,000 litres.

The company partners with Castrol's industrial division, becoming the exclusive distributor of Castrol Industrial's metal machining and processing products in central and western Québec.

The company acquires Compagnie d'antirouille Provincial (CAP), Québec's leading manufacturer of automotive rustproofing products.

François Ducharme becomes president and CEO.

Michel Ducharme retires after 40 years at the helm.
